| Didim takes top 10 place |

ALTINKUM’S beach has awarded seventh place in the top 10 beaches in popularity by touirism giant Thomson. Resort’s association chairman Deniz Atabay said that whjile the survey was good news, he said: “We will aim for higher.” Atabay said the rise was due to the general improvement in the resort, with many problems solved by the council. Pointing out that Marmaris ?çmeler Beach was higher in the list than Alt?nkum, Atabay said: “We must follow the example of what is ahead of us. We, as the tourism people will continue working in this direction.” Atabay said: “The five star hotels in our resort fill the tour operators’ bed capacity. The British tour operators increase their beds. If we increase quality facilities, we will increase the tourist potential.” Atabay expressed that the hotels working with tour operators in Didim were all full; the bed capacity was almost 24,000 but the number of five star facilities was not much. |
